Re-imagining Wheeling, Ohio County, and the region

The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Economic Outlook Conference with the hopes of reimagining the future of the Ohio Valley.

The Conference featured speakers and panelists discussing the re-imagining of tourism and development, the workforce, and the future of the region.

Featured speakers were David McKinley, President and CIO at McKinley Carter Wealth Service, and Dr. John Deskins, Assistant Dean BBER Director at WVU John Chambers College of Business and Economics.

Panel discussions include: Re-imagining Wheeling/Ohio County: Tourism and Development, Re-imagining the workplace: AI and Workforce Initiatives, and Re-imagining The Region: The Future Is Now!

We use to be a hub for industry, now all we want is medical and service jobs. Our city council and county officials need to do like Weirton and change there mind set.
