    Man flagging for a tree company in West Virginia killed after being struck by a vehcile

    The West Virginia State Police say a man who was working for a tree company is dead after they were struck by a vehicle.

    Police say they were called to a car crash resulting in a fatality on WV State Route 214 in Yawkey, WV in Lincoln County.

    Police say 44-year-old Venancio Motta Santoswas flagging for a tree company and was standing on the right-side roadway edge when Jimmy Wilburn, 47 years old from Sumerco, WV, struck Santoswas while driving.

    State Police say Wilburn was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to stop and struck Venancio Motta Santos.

    Venancio Motta Santos was transported to CAMC General where he succumbed to his injuries.

    The crash remains under investigation
