New Generation, Generation Alpha, using Ohio as a slang word

There’s a new generation in town and it’s Generation Alpha. Generation Alpha is those born from 2010-2024 and they have new slang words and one of them is Ohio.

Parade magazine has released 55 Gen Alpha slang words you need to know to keep from being “beta ”

Ohio made the list with the definition being “Something weird, cringey or odd. It comes from the many references that strange incidents happen “only in Ohio.”

Talk Show Host Stephen Colbert even used the term Ohio in a new segment on Thursday called: That’s Yeet. Dabbing on Fleek, Fam!

Colbert went on to say, “I don’t understand, what has Ohio ever done to earn the label of weird.” A photo then pops up of Ohio Senator JD Vance.

During this recent election cycle, the Democrats have been calling Trump and Vance “weird.”
