Minor injuries reported in crash that shut down Ohio Rt 7 Friday morning

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — A Friday morning crash between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer shut down both lanes of State Route 7 south of Shadyside for more than an hour.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 7 News it happened at 8:26 a.m. in the Dilles Bottom area.

They say the pickup driver, 69-year-old John Maruca of Martins Ferry, reportedly crossed the center line and struck the oncoming semi.

They say Maruca was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.

They say Maruca was cited for driving left of center.
