    Local student to receive college certificate at 15

    TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Vigo County Indiana Digital Learning School student is set to receive her Indiana College Core Certificate from Ivy Tech this weekend at just 15 years old.

    Rachel Greenlee began taking Ivy Tech courses as a freshman and has completed 31 hours of college credits. Greenlee is also the president of the largest INDLS Technology Student Association chapter in Indiana along with being on the Area 5188 First Robotics team at Rose-Hulman.

    She said that she believes her hard work is going to put her in a great position to succeed going forward.

    “It just feels so helpful to be ahead of everyone and I think it gives me a better chance of getting into the college I want to go to, and it just makes things a lot easier for my future,” she said.

    Greenlee said that she hopes to attend Rose-Hulman upon her high school graduation and major in computer science.
