Turf Tank helps VCSC prepare for football season

WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Wabash Valley Athletic Association has partnered with the Vigo County School Corporation to purchase a Turf Tank.

The Turf Tank uses modern technology to paint the athletic fields including baseball, football, and softball.

“Our theory is if we have Turf Tank stripe it, that gives the grounds crew time to cut grass, paint, clean, pull weeds, whatever they need to do to get ready for Friday night,” says John Collett with the WVAA.

“We think it’s a win for the school corporation. It’s a win for our association. It helps soccer, baseball, softball, and football so when we looked at it as an association it checked a lot of boxes.”
