Terre Haute Police calling on residents to avoid the 400 block of Third Avenue

Update 3:15 p.m. — According to our reporter on the scene one individual surrendered and was taken into custody and the situation is now resolved.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Special Response Team of the Terre Haute Police Department is responding to an incident and asking the public to stay clear.

In a brief email, the agency said the special response team is “involved in a situation in the 400 block of Third Avenue.”

The agency said they would make more information “available when we can.”
