VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Earlier this week, three local leaders were honored at the Indiana Leadership Forum.

The program is for any Hoosier wanting to learn more about government, advocacy, local and state politics, and how those things interact with the business world. The class of 2024 included Thrive CEO Ryan Keller, who says the program helped him advocate for shaping policy for older Hoosiers in the state.

“For economic and community development, for housing, for even mobility and transit,” Keller said. “Those are all programs that we offer here at Thrive, and how that policy plays out in state government and comes down to the locals, that’s very much how I’m interested and how I look to take the skills that I gained in ILF and apply them here locally.”

Some other West-Central Indiana leaders who were honored include Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer and Dianne Powell, who is a regional director in the office of U.S. senator Todd Young.
