TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV) — A tattoo shop in Clinton held an event Saturday to support a local animal rescue center.

House of 1000 Needles held a sale on animal themed tattoos and then donated a portion of the proceeds to Happy Tails Animal Rescue.

The parlor held a sale from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. For just $50, you could receive an animal themed flash tattoo, then they donate $10 of that money to the rescue. The owner of the parlor says his favorite part of events like this are the people.

The interaction with everybody, you know. Getting to meet new people, bringing new customers in. For me personally, just giving back to my community.

    Mike Hambright – Owner

House of 1000 Needles says they try to do an event like this every month. The shop manager says the community shows them a lot of love and they reciprocate.

We do a lot of things for the community. I want to say at least once a month or bi-monthly, we are doing something for the community, giving back. They show us a lot of love and we want to make sure we show it back, every time.

    Coco Rodriguez – Shop Manager

House of 1000 needles says, since this event turned out so well, they are planning to do another soon, possibly for Riley Children’s Hospital.

For updates on that, you can visit the parlor’s Facebook page.
