    One dead after a motorcycle crash in Daviess County Sunday morning

    DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man from Washington is dead after an accident involving a semi and a motorcycle in Daviess County.

    Just after 10 a.m, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of County Road 600 N and County Road 100 W (Edwardsport Rd) due to an accident involving two vehicles.

    The investigation shows a 2024 Volvo Semi with a trailer was traveling west bound on County Road 600 N, approaching County Road 100 W and failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled into the path of 2014 Yamaha motorcycle traveling south on County Road 100 W.

    The driver of the Yamaha motorcycle was transported from the scene by ambulance and pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

    The motorcyclist was identified as Lester Linneweber (70) of Washington.

    The driver of the semi was identified as Adenis Pepa (23) of Brooklyn, New York and was transported from the scene with minor injuries.

    Pepa tested negative for drugs or alcohol.

    This is an ongoing investigation with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. Indiana State Police are reconstructing the accident.

    The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Plainville Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Indiana State Police and Briggeman’s Wrecker Service.
