SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Senior citizens in the Wabash Valley have an opportunity every month to get health care questions answered for free.

The monthly event is called Dine With A Doc, a program put on by Senior Education Ministries. One such event was held Monday at the American Legion in Shelburn.

Dine With A Doc gives local seniors the chance to hear from doctors and learn about health care. It’s also an opportunity for them to socialize and enjoy a meal together.

“The thing that’s really nice to see is so often the same people come back each month because we’ve become this little network, group together to learn together and share our concerns together,” said Candi Snyder, a Hospice Care Consultant with Gentiva Hospice.

Dine With A Doc is held every month in communities across the Wabash Valley. You can learn more about it here .
