Update on Vigo Co. Public Library 12 Points location

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Construction is well underway on the third branch of the Vigo Co. Public Library.

Located in 12 Points on N. 13th Street, the project is being led by Keymark Construction. Library public relations director Shaleena Barker says that there is not an official opening date yet, but they look forward to adding another convenient location to the Terre Haute community.

“It gives people another opportunity to visit a location that is in their neighborhood,” Barker said. “What’s especially exciting about that is, as I’m sure you guys all know, 12 Points is undergoing some very exciting things right now with revitalizing their neighborhood, and it’s exciting for the library to be able to take part in that.”

The library will begin the opening process once Keymark finishes their phase of the project. Signage indicates that it will open in 2024.
