    Teen airlifted after incident at Turkey Run State Park

    PARKE COUNTY, Ind (WTWO/WAWV) — UPDATE: According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Department the boy is expected to make a full recovery and be released from the hospital Monday, though no direct contact has been made with the family.


    A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to an Indianapolis Hospital Saturday evening after an incident at Turkey Run State Park.

    Parke County Sheriff, Jason Frazier confirmed a local boy jumped off a cliff head-first into shallow water.

    “He is complaining of head and neck pain,” Frazier stated. “He has numbness in his toes,” he added.

    Parke County Sheriff’s Department, Bloomingdale Fire Department, Marshall Fire Department, and Parke County EMS responded to the incident.

    Wow... If only they had signs posted...Everywhere... To not jump off the cliffs... I'm sure they were just trying to have fun. I feel bad for this kid. However I'm sure he seen the same signs everyone else does when they visit.
