Two people shot in Downtown Terre Haute Sunday morning

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — UPDATE: According to the Terre Haute Police Department, uniformed officers were dispatched to a bar located at 830 Oak Street for reports of shots fired in the early hours of Sunday.

On September 15 at 2:22 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and found two victims suffering from gunshot injuries according to a news release. Officers took life-saving measures until the Terre Haute Fire Department arrived and care was transferred. Both of the victims were transferred to local hospitals for their injuries with one later being transferred to an Indianapolis hospital for further treatment.

Terre Haute Police Department Detectives are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to contact Detective Julia Piety at 812-244-2255.
