BOWLING GREEN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Get ready to step back in time to the medieval days. Clayshire Castle in Bowling Green is preparing for its annual Medieval Faire.

The festival, which is in its tenth year, will take place Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.

Organizers say the area will transform into a medieval village with nearly 100 vendors, food, music, and five stages of entertainment.

“We are proud to be able to say that we are bringing back much of the entertainment we’ve had in the past. That includes our falconer, jousting, combat fighting, archery,” explained Mary Jo Smock. “Plus, a lot of music. We love the music, especially medieval music, so they’ll all be back.”

She said there will be a designated parking area about a mile north of the castle and people will need to follow signs to that parking area. A bus will then transport attendees to the castle.
