TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Friday morning, CODA of the Wabash Valley received a $10,000 grant from Graceworks Movement Mortgage.

With this grant, CODA has now reached its goal of $40,000 that will be matched by the Wabash Valley Community Foundation. The money will be used to renovate a building across the street from CODA’s shelter that will house a thrift store, a recreation area, and three more bedrooms for the shelter.

Its Executive Director Emily Murray said she can’t thank the community enough for their constant support.

“We need more than that $80,000 to completely renovate the building and that has all fallen into place, so hitting this matching campaign felt so fantastic,” said Murray. “It is really good to have your community support the work that you do.”
