Run to the Creek at McCormick’s State Park

SPENCER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Run to the Creek was held at McCormick’s Creek State Park Sunday.

This is one of two races the state park holds each year.

Participants had the option of running or walking in the 5k or 10k.

This year, around 200 participants were on the path.

The Friends of McCormick’s Creek says this annual event generates the majority of their funding for the year.

A lot of people don’t realize that McCormick’s State Park is still here, we’re still open. We don’t have a campground, but everything else is still going. We want everybody to come out. The race gets people out here and lets people know that the park is open. It’s also a fundraiser for everything that we do.
