Sycamores hold first official practice

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Men’s Basketball held their first official practice of the season Monday afternoon as Matthew Graves prepares for his first year as head coach.

“Last night I woke up about three times thinking about practice and how excited we were that we were finally here,” says Graves.

“Brought back memories of when I was a player and you were waiting for the old school day of October 14th to get out there and get started. It’s strange that it’s September 23rd and you’ve started, but our guys have been together since June 11th it’s not something that we are on foreign territory and compete today.”

Sophomore Jaden Daughtry says, “It feels great you know watching practice, watching people making different kind of mistakes than they were the first practice of the season. We ask more intelligent questions. It looks like a better practice.”
