Food inspections September 16-21

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Here are the food inspections for the last week in Terre Haute courtesy of the Vigo County Health Department.

Real Hacienda, 2141 S. St. Rd. 46 (6 Critical, 6 Non-Critical) Found fresh cut pineapple stored directly on top of raw shrimp. Found container of cut limes stored directly on top of ice used for drinks in bar area. Found raw chicken stored above raw beef and fish. Found corn dogs, sauce and jalapenos in prep cooler on cook line without date markings. Found excessive accumulation of debris throughout inside of prep cooler on cook line holding raw meats indicating lack of adequate cleaning. Observed excessive amounts of standing water on floors throughout kitchen. Observed handles of faucet on hand wash sink blocked with a dirty dish, accumulated debris in basin and no soap available for hand washing. Found raw chicken and steak in prep cooler on cook line at temperatures between 44-48 degrees. Shall be 41F or less.

Wings Etc., 1800 Ft. Harrison Rd. (3 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) Observed multiple cooked and ready to eat items throughout kitchen without dates of consumption. Observed accumulated debris on inside of ice machine. Observed accumulated grease on debris on warmer holding cooked bacon on cook line.

Wendy’s #38260, 2049 Lafayette Ave. (3 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Found cut salad mix, cheese sauce and other sauces without date markings. Found cooked bacon held at 90F. Shall be 135F or above. Found shredded cheese, American cheese and raw eggs held at temperatures between 55 and 60F. Shall be 41F or below.

China Wok, 3247 N. 31 ^st St. (2 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Observed employee food on prep table while broccoli was being cut. Observed employee’s personal items throughout kitchen on equipment and shelving. Observed no date markings on food in walk in cooler and throughout establishment.

Real Hacienda, 2750 S. 3 ^rd St. (2 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Observed employee cup without lid on prep surface. Observed raw eggs stored above ready to eat food in walk-in cooler. Found power tools stored directly on top of tortilla shells.

BPO Elks #86, 2125 N. 25 ^th St. (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed adulterated oranges in refrigerator behind bar. Observed mice droppings on and around dishwasher.

Delish Café East, 8775 Wabash Ave. (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed dish machine not sanitizing at proper concentration to disinfect. Observed ice from drink in hand wash sink. Shall be used for hand washing only.

McDonald’s #6137, 2111 Lafayette Ave. (2 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) Found employee beverage stored next to and above clean dishes on storage shelf in dish area. Found cheese held at 60F and prep cooler not holding proper temperature of 41F or less.

Burger King #131, 2575 St. Rd. 46 (1 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Found accumulated debris on inside of ice machine.

Taco Bell #3001036, 2105 N. Lafayette Ave. (1 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Found sanitizer in three bay sink not measuring at proper concentration for disinfection.

Subway #24693, 423 W. National Ave. (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed employee coffee cup on prep table next to slicing station.
