State Road 59 temporary closure in Clay City

CLAY CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Clay City will be experiencing a temporary road closure on State Road 59 between Nye Street and 9th Street.

A news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that beginning on or after September 30 crews will be closing down the area of State Road 59 for small structure pipe lining and culvert work at Conneley Ditch. Work is expected to last a few weeks but is subject to change based on weather conditions.

INDOT encourages people to find an alternate route and to use caution while driving around work zones.
