TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State University Federal Credit Union (ISU FCU) announced that they have appointed a new president and CEO.

A news release from ISU FCU has stated that Brian Zuber has been appointed to his new position and will be starting in early October.

“I am honored to have been selected as the next President and CEO of ISU FCU,” said Zuber. “I look forward to joining the current team and am excited about what we can accomplish together for ISU FCU members.”

Zuber is listed as having many qualifications with his most recent being Chief Operating Officer at the Springfield, Illinois-based Heartland Credit Union. He also held executive positions at Scott State Bank and Staley Credit Union. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and multiple professional certifications including a Credit Union Compliance Expert.

Zuber takes over for the previous CEO Sam Shanks, who had been with the company for over 4 decades.

“We are delighted to welcome Brian to the ISU FCU family,” said Randy Jensen, Board Chair. “While we are sad to see Sam depart after her many years of dedicated service, we are confident that Brian’s leadership, experience, and vision will guide the credit union to continued success and growth. We look forward to an exciting future under his direction.”
