CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO) — Two people are facing a felony charge after they were caught with about 250 pills that tested positive for fentanyl, County County Sheriff’s officials said.

Bryce Steadmon, 23, of Greencastle, and Masey R. Ward, 25, of Harmony were charged with dealing in a narcotic, a level two felony, Monday in Van Buren. Deputies wrote in a news release that Steadmon was pulled over after he committed a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop deputies called in a K-9 who later indicated that there were drugs in the car. Deputies then located 250 pills.

Steadmon, and Ward, his passenger, are being held in the Clay County Justice Center.
