Beyond the Stands – Avery Cassell talks state finals golf

Terre Haute South junior golfer Avery Cassell joined WTWO’s Rick Semmler on Beyond The Stands.

Cassell will play in the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals this Friday and Saturday. She’s the first individual to make the state finals at Terre Haute South High School since 2016 and she’s the only player from the Wabash Valley this year to get this far.

Avery talked about her goals at state this weekend with Rick and trying to follow in her dad Chris’s footsteps, he was a division one golfer.
