I-74 changed to one lane after dump truck accident

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— Interstate 74 has one of its lanes closed after an incident with a dump truck in the early hours of Tuesday.

At around 8:11 Tuesday morning troopers with the Illinois State Police responded to a property damage traffic crash at the 178 milepost on Interstate 74. When troopers arrived they noticed a dump truck had struck the Duncan Road overpass and had lost the dump bed after the collision and came to rest in the right lane.

The right lane is currently blocked off and traffic is being diverted to the left lane for now. No injuries were reported. Illinois State Police advise using caution while traveling through the area. WTWO is following this story and will update as available.
