A school bus and car accident sends one person to the hospital

SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tuesday night, Oct. 15, a school bus and car accident in Shelburn, Indiana sent one person to the hospital. The incident happened near a railroad crossing on U.S. 41.

According to the Chief of Shelburn Police, Mathew Price, the accident happened when a vehicle struck the side of a school bus. Price says, no one on the bus was injured but the woman driving the vehicle was taken to the Sullivan County Hospital.

This is an ongoing investigation, and at this time it is unclear how the accident occurred, but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
