59th annual Appalachian Arts and Crafts Fair to start off the Appalachian Festival

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – Are you looking to be creatively inspired?

Well, you are in luck, because the 59 ^th annual Appalachian Arts and Crafts Fair is returning to the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.

There are plenty of Appalachian-themed items to see at this art fair, as the 80-plus vendors in attendance will be showcasing coal mining artifacts, crochet items, pottery, handmade soaps, pottery, and much more!

This fair kicks off the Appalachian Festival that extends through Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Michelle Rotellini, the CEO of the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce explained that this fair is about much more than art.

“It is important to educate people on what those things are, where they came from, why we do what we do here, and also those skills that were learned back in those times,” said Rotellini.

This fair takes over the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center on August 2 and August 3 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
