A Chaplain, specifically a Navy Chaplain, provides religious services and needs for those serving, which includes the Marines, Navy, and the United States Coast Guard, giving Chaplains more opportunities on duty while giving guidance to sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen.

Lieutenant Everett Fraley’s time in West Virginia and also being part of the ministry inspired him to become a Chaplain for the Navy, saying that it was a calling, and decided to go back into active-duty after a 20-year period.

“I’ve also passed through different churches. I’ve got a great church that I kind of stepped away from for a while back in Monroe County, Fairview Church there in Monroe, and had a great opportunity to do a lot of good things in ministry, just felt the calling to go back into the Navy, went back in about 10 years ago, just through a series of different events. My active-duty time just came up and my opportunity came just in the last few months,” said Lt. Everett Fraley
