WVU School of Nursing recognized for having the best RN Program in WV

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – The WVU School of Nursing is making it not one, but two years of offering the best Registered Nursing program in the state.

They were awarded this honor by RegisteredNursing.org, who gave them a 98.54 score out of 100.

This award not only encompasses the Morgantown campus, but all the schools that are affiliated with WVU, like WVU Tech.

Hillary Parcell, the BSN Chairperson for WVU School of Medicine on the Beckley campus told 59News about the qualities that helped them win this award.

“Receiving this award showcases having excellent nursing faculty and the performance that our students are able to do, and then the clinical preparedness that our students have – when they graduate and their ability to go into the workforce,” said Parcell.

They also excelled in their end-of-the-year test scores.

Applications to become a part of this nursing program opens in November.
