    Raleigh County woman charged after man allegedly pepper sprayed and hit with a bat

    BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — A woman from Raleigh County is facing charges after she allegedly pepper sprayed and hit a man with a baseball bat.

    According to a release from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, August 12, 2024, deputies responding to a report of an assault at a home on Juniper Street in the Calloway Heights area. Once on scene, deputies were notified that a male victim had allegedly been pepper sprayed and hit with a baseball bat.

    The victim was take to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    Further investigation led to deputies arresting and charging 30-year-old Sarah Snider, of Beckley, with Malicious Wounding.

    Snider is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail while she waits to be arraigned.
