FAIRLEA, WV (WVNS) – One of the places to be at the State Fair of West Virginia is the birthing center.

Here, many pregnant cows are having babies daily at the state fair. There is a playpen in front of the center where fairgoers can pet the newborn calves.

Project Healing Waters hopes to bring more veterans to their program

59News spoke with a couple of fairgoers about why they love the birthing center so much.

“This is my actual favorite attraction here at the fair. To come and see all the baby cows everyday and there’s always so many new ones to come over and greet,” said Theresa White, member of the West Virginia Emergency Management.

“They are really cute,” said fairgoer Grayson Martinez.

The birthing center announces when a mother is giving birth, so those who want to watch have the opportunity.
