WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) – As LIV golfers prepare for competition over the weekend, the LIV Golf Tournament hosted its own Pro-Am at the Greenbrier.

A Pro-Am is where amateur golfers get to play a round of golf with professionals.

One of the amateur golfers at this Pro-Am was none other than West Virginia Governor Jim Justice.

Anthony Kim is joining LIV Golf for the rest of 2024. And maybe beyond

Governor Justice enjoyed a day of golf teamed up with his friends Howard Burnette and Alan Larrick, as well as golf pros Charl Schwartz and Jon Rahm.

Governor Justice told 59News about some of his golf goals for the Pro-Am.

“I have not played a hole of golf in a year and a half and everything. And I went out the other day and hit 9 golf balls. It about killed me, so we’ll see,” said Justice.

Justice’s team tied for 26th by the end of the Pro-Am.

Justice praised LIV Golf’s setup at the Greenbrier.

He said this is a great way for the area and West Virginia as a whole to gain more exposure.
