High school football preview: PikeView Panthers

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) – It’s all upside for the PikeView Panthers in 2024 as they work to improve from being one of only two teams in 2023 in our region without a win (Richlands is the other).

PikeView still had a couple of high points in 2023 despite the goose egg record, nearly pulling off the win at Wyoming East 8-14. They also put up a good fight against a stout River View team the following game.

It’s a fresh slate for PikeView this season and they’ll look to take advantage of that right off the start with a Thursday opening at home versus Summers County on August 29th.
