Before being in the show, there’s preparation that goes into getting their animals ready.

Rosemeyer says blow drying the goat helps promote hair growth, and trains the direction of the hair. Amanda is a 16-20 month full blood.

The two have been working together for the past couple of months with their first show being at their local fair.

Rosemeyer explained to 59News why her goat is in top condition.

“She’s very muscular, she’s structurally correct, she’s got a really big loin which is something pretty big that they look for,” said Rosemeyer.

This is the second year Rosemeyer has attended the state fair. She says the shows are here are really put together.
