Sct. showers and storms tonight; showers will be possible tomorrow

Saturday evening starts with the chance for scattered showers and storms as our cold front crosses. One or two could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the biggest issue along with heavy downpours. Don’t forget the umbrellas if you plan to head to the final night of the State Fair of West Virginia. Lows will drop into the 60s.

Sunday should see our cold front depart down to the south and east. A nearby low will keep the chance for scattered showers and afternoon rumbles of thunder around, however. It shouldn’t rain all the time but be mindful of the occasional storm or two. Cooler air behind the cold front will keep temps in just the 70s for Sunday!

Monday will continue with the chance for scattered showers and storms. The best chances will be in the morning and afternoon, with chances decreasing during the evening as an area of high pressure builds in. Cooler air and hit or miss clouds will keep afternoon highs in the 70s as we see just a MTN shower or two during the overnight.

Tuesday brings back the sunshine as an area of high pressure builds in. This cooler air mass will make for a very comfortable Tuesday with low humidity values and temps just in the 70s! We should see plenty of sunshine so go out and enjoy if you have the chance!

Wednesday keeps our area of high pressure across the Great Lakes. This in turn will give us a nice and easy morning commute with mostly sunny skies. You can expect plenty of sunshine as temps get into the 70s and similar to Tuesday, we should have low humidity values to make the afternoon even better!

Thursday will continue to be dominated by a northern high pressure. This system will move further off to the east, developing more of a southeasterly flow. This in turn will help get temps near 80 but still maintaining sunny skies throughout the day!

Friday delivers more sunshine with our high pressure system not going anywhere just yet. Our sunny skies will give us a chance for highs to finally crack the low 80s in most spots. Should also be a dry day so evening plans will be in good shape as we end off your Friday forecast!

Saturday brings in a little extra cloud cover as our high pressure system drifts off to the east. But not much in the way of rain chances so the start of the new weekend looks great for anyone planning outdoor planning. Temps on Saturday will try to reach into the low to middle 80s.

In your extended forecast, we start to bring in the chance for shower by the end of the weekend into the following week with several disturbances trying to cross. Most of them look disorganized at this point so don’t expect much when it comes to potential rainfall. Building clouds will look to keep temps in the low 80s.
