    Parts of Summers and Monroe counties to be affected by planned power outage

    SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A power outage is planned for areas in Summers and Monroe counties towards the end of August.

    According to a post on the Summers County West Virginia 911 Center’s Facebook page, Mon Power will hold a short power outage on August 23, 2024.

    The post made by the Summers County West Virginia 911 Center stated that the power outage will start at around 8:00 a.m. and will last approximately 30 minutes.

    According to the Summers County West Virginia 911 Center, the areas that will be affected by the planned power outage will include: Alderson, Talcott, Pence Springs, Hinton, Ballengee, Forest Hill, and Wayside. They also stated that Hinton and downtown Alderson will not be influenced by the outage.
