BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — Bluefield Rescue Squad debuted their newly dedicated ambulance on Wednesday.

The importance of vaccination as fall nears

The ambulance, wrapped in a burnt orange complete with black lettering and silhouettes of military personnel, is an homage to our nation’s and more specifically the Bluefield area’s veterans.

Sean Cantrell, Administrator for Bluefield Rescue Squad, said he felt this is the least they could do.

“Just to show our gratitude to the veterans, for the ones who have served or are serving. It’s just always been in our hearts to support them here at Bluefield Rescue Squad and we figured this was a small token of gratitude to them,” said Cantrell.

The ambulance is the second in Bluefield Rescue Squad’s fleet to be dedicated.

The Squad previously dedicated an ambulance featuring pink wrapping and lettering for Breast Cancer Awareness.
