Time to jump for joy- the 45th annual Bridge Day is almost here

OAK HILL, WV (WVNS)– West Virginians and adrenaline-seekers alike are about to be jumping for joy soon with the return of Bridge Day!

The 45th anniversary of Bridge Day was announced for Saturday, October 19th of 2024.

The entire local community and tons of out-of-state visitors look forward to this event all year to witness the crazy stunts from base jumpers, bikers, and more. Guests also get to explore the many vendors that come out.

Tim Naylor is part of the Bridge Day Commission to organize the big day, and he says they are working on the finishing touches.

“Bridge Day is close,” Naylor said. “We start the first of January and really go all year long, but things are really starting to ramp up now. We’ve sold out of our vendor booths, we’ve sold out of our end of the gorge tickets, and we are currently taking registration for base jumpers, so things are really in full swing.”
