High school football preview: Nicholas County Grizzlies

NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) – The Nicholas County Grizzlies are looking for improvements following a 5-5 season in 2023.

A couple of close losses last season kept the Grizzlies out of the playoffs, but head coach Gene Morris’ 28 years of coaching experience will guide a team that has added experience and chemistry for the upcoming 2024 season with a lot of new kids from last year now with a year of experience under their belt.

Nicholas County will get tested right off the start of the season, with a home game against Oak Hill before heading to Chapmanville in week 2.
