The 25th annual Oak Leaf Festival is here

OAK HILL, WV (WVNS)– Prepare to “leaf” the boring behind and instead get ready for the annual Oak Leaf Festival!

The 25th annual Oak Leaf Festival is scheduled to run from Saturday, August 24, 2024 to Sunday, September 1, 2024.

The festival will have some new things this year, along with the returning familiar favorites of live music, vendors, fireworks, car shows, and a parade. The newly added event is a kid’s carnival night on Tuesday, with prizes and games all for free.

Organizer Saundie Smith said it’s going to be a good year and invites everyone to come out.

“It’s a time to get out and visit and socialize with people and have fun and bring your kids, we try to have something to do for the kids all the time,” said Smith.

Other highlights are karaoke, the beauty pageants and the chili cook-off.
