Final chance to catch Fridays in the Park in Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – Fridays in the Park is winding down for 2024. On the next to last Friday, park visitors were serenaded by Trey Waycaster and his saxophone. Food vendors were also set up in downtown Beckley for one of the final gatherings of the summer.

The Fridays in the Park event brings the community together every week. Event organizer Jill Moorefield, says it is always a great time every year.

“It’s been a beautiful summer. We’ve had a lot of folks here [and] lots of music of different genres. We’ve had some food vendors and people have really come out and enjoyed the park,” said Moorefield.

The last Fridays in the park for the season will be on August 30, 2024.
