PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – A new mural is adorning a Princeton Building. But this isn’t just any mural.

Recovery Point, Concord University Collegiate Recovery, and Community Connections teamed up to make an anti-drug mural.

The murals read, “Break through stigma with love” and “break through addiction.”

Can folded dollar bills on the ground be deadly? What to know

One of the painters and Community Connections’ Drug-Free Communities Coordinator, Candace Harless told 59News what their goal is with this mural.

“The more you see something, or the more that you are aware of it…You come across it every day, the less likely there is a stigma attached to that because it becomes a norm,” said Harless.

After painting wrapped, this turned out to be a 3 series piece on the building.

This mural was completed ahead of Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, as well as Recovery Month, which lasts all September long.
