    Emergency warning siren to be tested in Summers County

    SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — The emergency warning siren at the Hinton City Fire Department will be tested towards the end of August 2024.

    According to a post on the Summers County 911 Center’s Facebook page, there will be a test of the Hinton City Fire Department’s emergency warning siren on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

    Greenbrier Humane Society announces full capacity status

    In the post, the Summers County 911 Center stated that the siren would be able to be heard through parts of Hinton, Avis, and Bellepoint.

    According to the Facebook post from the Summers County 911 Center, although the emergency warning siren will only be tested on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, plans are in place for the siren to be used for emergency notifications in the future.
