    2024/2025 campaign chairs announced by the United Way of Greenbrier Valley

    LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) — The United Way of Greenbrier Valley is launching their 2024/2025 campaign, which starts on September 5, 2024.

    According to a press release from the United Way of Greenbrier Valley, Warren and Margaret May, last year’s chairs have decided to support the the 2024/2025 United Way of Greenbrier Valley’s Capital Campaign again, since last year’s campaign was a complete success. Last year, with their leadership, the United Way raised close to $800,000 in pledges.

    Warren has a background in finance and has been the President and CEO for the Lincoln Financial Group. Since 2020, Warren and Margaret May have lived in Greenbrier Valley, where Warren has been an active social figure in different projects within the county, which includes, the Greenbrier Valley Family Activity Center, to be constructed in White Sulphur Springs.

    “We are surrounded by wonderful believers, a great support team, and a sound foundation from which to build. It remains our goal to provide kids and families in our community a better path to a better life,” said Warren May.

    “We have great vision for what we can achieve within the community. We are so encouraged by the generosity of our supporters within our community, that we see our reach going such a long way to help the people that we serve throughout Greenbrier County and beyond,” added the United Way’s Executive Director, Lauren Rainier.

    Tourism at three parks in southern West Virginia contributes millions to local economy

    The press release concluded saying, founded in 1986, the United Way of Greenbrier Valley has focused on strategies to help the residents of Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties. They help with education, health, and any other basic and essential needs. Through grants and private support, the United Way of Greenbrier Valley can help serve these counties.
