PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – Culturefest World Music and Arts Festival returns for the 21st year. Perhaps one could say that the festival is returning to its roots. This year the event will be held in the Grassroots District of downtown Princeton.

The event originally was established in Princeton City Park, then hosted for nearly two decades at Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem.

Events bringing in talent from around the country

The creative arts festival will feature more than 25 music and dance acts, in addition to the many merchants, workshops, and activities for children.

“The fest has kept us going through, you know, just life and especially through COVID pandemic. We really wanted to keep the traditions moving forward. So, it feels great to be sort of now on the other side of all of that kind of with this tradition intact,” said Lori Mckinney, organizer for Culturefest.

The event will be held from September 5th-8th and is free and open to the public.
