Hot and cold; Friday is sunny and mild before a cooldown this weekend

Friday begins with temps in the 50s with sunny skies through the morning. A few clouds will try to squeeze in during the afternoon but enough sunshine during the day will get temps near 80. High school football should be in good shape this evening as clouds build in with a few stray showers possible late in the overnight.

Saturday starts a little wet with isolated to scattered showers during the morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to be fairly light as we get closer to lunchtime, slowly coming to an end as we progress into the afternoon. High pressure will slowly build in, ending off our Saturday with a mostly clear overnight.

Sunday brings back plenty of sunshine as high pressure continues to build in from the west. Sunny skies to start the day so morning church services should be in good shape though you may need a jacket with temps only in the 40s! Despite the decent amount of sunshine, temps will only make it into the upper 60s by the late afternoon.

Monday is again a cold start with most in the low to middle 40s. We’ll warm up rather quickly into the 50s/60s through lunchtime with some spots trying to get into the low 70s by dinnertime. The afternoon will be a treat with sunny skies and temps getting into the 70s.

Tuesday continues the sunny weather with high pressure still around. Once again, a light jacket will be preferred in the morning as we’ll have morning lows in the 40s again. Beyond the little hiccup in the morning, temps should rebound back into the 70s later in day under mostly sunny skies.

Wednesday is once again another sunny and dry stretch for us as high pressure now begins to move off to the northeast. We’ll still be under its influence, keeping mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Temps are expected to stay quite typical as we go from the 50s into the 80s later in the afternoon.

Thursday maintains our mostly sunny look as temps rise into the low 80s later in the day after being in the 50s earlier in the morning.

In your extended forecast, sunny skies will again be around through the end of the week while seeing the occasional clouds here of there. A few systems will try to break through our area of high pressure by the following weekend, but rain chances look few and far between through the middle of September.
