DANVILLE, WV (WVNS) — A variety of West Virginia authors will be at an event in Boone County at the beginning of September 2024.

According to a press release, the inaugural “Authors and Appetizers” event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Magnolia House Restaurant located at 630 Park Avenue in the Danville area of Boone County.

Silent film to be shown at Concord University with an accompaniment from a Concord University professor

The authors will be located at the screened-in back deck that overlooks the Little Coal River at the Magnolia House Restaurant. Those who attend the event will be able to meet the authors and get a chance for the authors to sign their books.

There will also be a “Book Lovers Buffet” menu at the event, where food and desserts on the menu will be inspired by the authors.

We wanted to do something special and different for folks, where they can come by, maybe purchase an autographed book or two, sample our made-from-scratch Southern cooking, and meet these gifted authors in person to learn about their amazing stories. It will be a bonanza of books and bites for everyone!
