    DUI Checkpoint to be held in Mercer County

    MERCER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A DUI Checkpoint will be held by the West Virginia State Police in part of Mercer County in September 2024.

    According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, members of the West Virginia State Police will hold a DUI Checkpoint along U.S. Route 52, Coal Heritage Road, near King’s Tire Service in the Bluewell area of Mercer County.

    DUI Checkpoint to be held in Greenbrier County

    Alternate routes include Route 20, New Hope Road, and Warden Ave.

    DUI Checkpoints are meant to discourage people from driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, while also informing the public about the risks associated with driving while under the influence.
