Reverend Collins and several other pastors from around the nation were presented the Jerry Young Pastoral Ministry Award for his many years of services.

“It means a great deal to stand beside these other ministers [and] pastors, to see that you are not the only one that is dedicated to the ministry,” said Reverend Collins.

Reverend Collins also said that it was touching to have his West Virginia constituents with him to celebrate this honor.

He is not the only one celebrating a big milestone. Mount Olive Baptist will be celebrating their 80 th anniversary of being a church Sunday, September 15, 2024.
