    Man arrested for breaking and entering and grand larceny in McDowell County

    WELCH, WV (WVNS) — A McDowell County man was arrested for breaking and entering and grand larceny.

    According to a press release, 20-year-old Spencer Hankins, of Welch, was arrested for breaking and entering and grand larceny.

    Multiple people arrested after search warrants were carried out in McDowell County

    The press release stated that a member of the West Virginia State Police was patrolling in the Welch area of McDowell County on Monday, September 9, 2024 when they received information about an unreported larceny.

    The member of the West Virginia State Police found 18 guns and additional stolen property estimated at around $7,732, and proceeded to find and inform the victim about the stolen items.

    Hankins was arrested for breaking and entering and grand larceny, and the press release stated that he was also arrested for an active Fugitive From Justice warrant in Russell County, Virginia.
