Power restored to more than 1,300 customers in Raleigh County

UPDATE: Monday, September 16, 2024 @ 9:46 AM | DANIELS/SHADY SPRING, WV ( WVNS ) — According to multiple customer reports and American Electric Power, power has been restored to all customers in the area reported.

The cause of the issue was still not released.

DANIELS/SHADY SPRING, WV ( WVNS ) — More than 1,300 people are without power in Raleigh County on Monday morning, September 16, 2024.

According to the American Electric Power Outage Maps and the AEP Mobile App, there are 1,344 customers without power in the area of Daniels and Shady Spring.

The outage was reported at 8:46 AM. The cause of the outage was not released, however, the outage is along the same route as the continued construction for the Beckley Z-Way Project.

According to AEP, the estimated time for restoration is 3 PM this afternoon, Monday, September 16, 2024.
